Director of Tourism Lindsay Musgrove resigns
Director of Tourism Lindsay Musgrove has resigned.
The SUN was informed that Musgrove and certain other members of the Turks and Caicos Islands Tourist Board were asked to place their resignations at the disposal of the new board and the Governor and they did so. Musgrove’s resignation was accepted.
It is understood that Ralph Higgs, the other co-Director of Tourism, is now heading the Tourist Board for the time being.
Musgrove was originally the sole Director of Tourism, but a few years ago his duties were split and he was given responsibility for administration, while Higgs was responsible for marketing.
Well-placed sources told The SUN that there will be other changes at that statutory organisation over the short to medium term.
The Tourist Board has been the subject of much controversy in recent times and has been faced with several law suits internationally.
